I knew it had been awhile since my last blog entry, but I was quite surprised at just how long it really has been; since July 4th! My life has been hectic in working 60 hour weeks, trying to sell my first novel, working on my current novel, and riding the roller coaster of Jeff's progressing disease. But, on the other hand, it's not as if I have more than a handful of readers anyway; I've pretty much accepted the fact that readership won't come until I make a name for myself, and I'm on my own in that respect. But to the ones who have been supporting, and who will continue to support me, THANK YOU!
Now onto the subject of this insane election. Obviously I chose the image United we Stand; Divided we Fall to depict the times we are living in. We can blame every politician on every level for this result, however, if we are being honest with ourselves, I think we as the citizens need to take a look in the mirror. WE have allowed them to divide us! We will continue to fall if we keep playing into their hands, and quite frankly I see no improvement on our part. BOTH parties are to blame, and yet BOTH sides are so sure they're 100% right.
I'm not writing this blog to promote either candidate, because I will never tell anyone who to vote for; I won't call people names and threaten them just because I may disagree with them, but I won't promote either candidate because I don't trust either of them! I have never voted for a particular party; instead, I always vote the lesser of the two evils. But with this set of the lesser of the two evils, I may just vote for the libertarian for the first time, because NOT voting is NOT an option! Of course I know the libertarian doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell, but I seriously feel neither candidate deserves my vote. I have this sneaking suspicion there are far more people who may just feel the same as me, but are too afraid to speak out - DON'T BE AFRAID - VOTE WHAT'S IN YOUR HEART; DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED! Vote with your heart and let God do the rest.
